This interesting photo was published at Chinese portal site Sina. It shows all 15 Chinese Go players that have ever won at least one Go world championships.

The back row players (younger ones) are: Piao Wenyao, Fan Tingyu, Jiang Weijie, Mi Yuting, Shi Yue, Tuo Jiaxi, Zhou Ruiyang, Chen Yaoye, Tang Weixing. The front row players (more senior ones) are: Kong Jie, Luo Xihe, Ma Xiaochun, Yu Bin, Chang Hao, Gu Li.

As of January 2014, before the first game of the jubango, Gu Li has 40 major titles, including 7 international ones. The following table, which is generated automatically from the Go4Go database, contains records for 35 events. Gu Li also won a number of bilateral competitions (e.g. China-Korea Tengen Competition) and some invitational tournaments which are not counted in the statistics.

I received the latest Go World Archive DVD by mail. My first impression was pretty positive. The disk is apparently professionally produced, sitting in a solid case and properly wrapped.
