Dead heat

To me, both the games that Lee Sedol lost, against Kim Junghyun and Fan Yunruo, are absolutely fantastic fighting games. AlphaGo played too poorly in the latter part to be the game of the year, maybe the famous move of Lee Sedol could be move of the year.

Kind regards,
Paul

nomination

The following Lee Sedol game should be nominated too:

Bloemen
Another candidate for game of the year

Just the same kind of game, very long, spectacular fighting: Ke Jie against Tang Weixing.

Kind regards,
Paul

Another candidate

I really like this game by Shin Jinseo against Lian Xiao.

Kind regards,
Paul

Bloemen
Yet another candidate

The second game of the Samsung semis between Lee Sedol and Ke Jie qualifies in my opinion, a super sharp fight between two very attractive players, a game where neither player is pushed over the edge because of accurate defense, excellent reading.

Kind regards,
Paul
